This is an amazing piece of 19th Century German silver !! This tea caddy is beautifully designed in the Rococo style and was made in Hanau, Germany. The repousse scene is of young children playing near a fence, a cat watching and a bird flying over head. The pull off cap shows a cherub possibly watching over the children as they play. It is marked on the bottom with an unattributed Pseudo Mark of the crown over \"L\" and another mark I can\'t quite make out. The condition of this piece is magnificent, but if one would choose to do so, a cleaning would make this piece really stand out!It measures 3 1/4\" tall and is 2 3/4\" x 2\" and weights 5.11 Troy oz.Inexcellent condition. Highest buyer will win the piece. This is a sale.
