A stunning Victorian 18ct Gold Ring that dates to c1897, which is set centrally with an oval synthetic Ruby in a rubover setting flanked by a Pearl at each side(please see the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form anintegral part of the item\'s description).
This wonderful antique ring has a plain \'D\' shaped shank leading to the tapered shoulders and gem set gallery; the focal point is the wonderful oval Ruby (measures approx\' 6mm by 5mm), which is set in a closed back rubover setting flanked by a beautiful Pearl (Size 1 1/2) at each side.
As you would expect this fine quality ring, which weighs 5.5 grams, is stamped with a full hallmark confirming that it is made from solid 18ct Gold and that it was assayed in Birmingham in 1897.
Overall this stunning Victorian Ring is in great condition with signs of wear commensurate with age. It is sized as a UK Ring Size \'O\', which equates to a US Ring Size \'7 1/4\'; as with almost all antique rings the band isslightly ovalized i.e it is not perfectly round and it measures slightlydifferently on the gauge depending on how it is positioned, however this willnot affect the ring when worn.
