A stunning Victorian Gold Diamond, Ruby & Sapphire set Crescent Brooch dating to c1895, which is beautifully crafted with a fabulous gem set Clover Motif(please study the detailed close-upphotographs provided, which form an integral part of the item\'s description).
This wonderful antique Gold Brooch is set with eleven graduated old-cut Diamonds set in Silver on Gold within a Crescent Design (before Platinum became available Diamonds were set in Silver), which is further decorated with a central Clover Motif set with a Diamond, a Ruby & a Sapphire. The Crescent is attached to a knife edge bar brooch, which terminates with an old-cut Diamond at either end set in star shaped terminals to create a sublimely beautiful Brooch.
This finest quality Victorian Brooch is set with truly gorgeous gems to create a jewel of superlative quality, which needless to say looks fabulous when worn and is sure to attract many admiring glances. This stunning Brooch measures approx\' 43mm x 14mm and it weighs 3.6 grams.As was common during this period the Brooch is unmarked but it has been tested and is guaranteed to be made from solid Gold with a fineness of 9ct or higher.
Overall this Brooch is in superb condition and it is ready to wear; it is complete with it\'s original pin, hinge & secure clasp and is presented in a fitted antique box. The Box is covered in brown leather with a cream velvet interior and cream silk/satin lining to the inside of the lid - overall the Box is in good condition with a good strong hinge and push clap that works perfectly - as expected, the box shows wear to the surfaces commensuratewithage.
