RARE Original August 24, 1835 Personal Check SIGNED by PRESIDENT ANDREW JACKSON TO HIS SON, ANDREW JACKSON JUNIOR.

Check drawn on the \"Bank of the Metropolis\" in the amount of $200.00.

Check measures 6 3/4 X 2 3/4 Inches. Scalloped edge on left border.

Interesting to note two tid-bits in conjunction with this signed document:

1- The check is signed in 1835, the year that Richard Lawrence attempted to assassinate the President - the first Presidential assassination attempt in American history.

and

2 - The check is made out to \"Andrew Jackson Jr.\"... Essentially giving us TWO autograph examples in the hand of President Andrew Jackson. It is well-known that Jackson supported his son most of his life. Junior was a source of great headache for the President...
