Designed by Alfredo Haberli for the Georg Jensen design house, this elegant and intricately detailed bread basket stands at 11.5 cms / 4.5 inches (height) and 21.5 cms / 8.5 inches) All measurements being approximate.
Since 1904 the name of Georg Jensen (1866-1935 and pictured below) has been synonymous with silverware of the utmost quality. His professional life started with a goldsmith\'s apprenticeship followed by a career as a sculptor in the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts and from about 1900 he belonged to the generation of European artistswho made liberal art their starting point in seeking a renewal of applied arts. In 1904 he opened his own silversmith\'s workshopshowcasing innovative design and perpetual style over the subsequent decades so that this Danish designer now stands in a class of its own. The innovative house of Georg Jensen is no longer content with simply making pieces from silver and now offers an enormous range of truly beautiful and multi-functional products for every room of your home in a variety of materials including the high-polish stainless steel of this product.
Although branded as a bread basket, the design would allow usage as a fruit basket or for a number of various purposes of your choosing in your home.
