this superb French \"Ladies Dagger\" that has been manufactured during the 1860`s - 1870`s.
The quality of the dagger is excellent.
It has a beautiful horn grip (non endangered species).
The mounts are gilt and have a monogram \"D\".
It`s blade is double edged.
The sheath is made of tooled leather with gold tooling and gilt brass mounts.
The overall length of the dagger is 235 mm and the blade measures 135 mm.
A excellent dagger for a lady of that time and surely an expensive buy when manufactured.
