Stunning Large Anatolian Nomad Kilim in Excellent Condition 10ft 10\" x 5ft 8\"

A beautiful large kilim from West Anatolia, great colour palette and contrast. Classic motifs with small çiçim embroidered decorations in the borders. In perfect condition, wool on strong cotton warp, high quality hand spun wool and very robust, tight weave.

A superb 20th century example of an authentic tribal kilim. No:1911

Size 330cm x 173 cm or 10ft 10ins x 5ft 8ins

Authentic tribal kilims like this are becoming increasingly rare and the nomadic culture they come from has almost completely disapeared in Anatolia. Weaving them may soon be a lost art.
