I\'m offering for your consideration a stunning pendant necklace with a center drop, made of exceptionally beautiful natural turquoise pieces and excellent silversmith work. It is all hand constructed. The stones are bezel set and indented into a shadowbox, framed in silver and with a leaf and raindrops above each and stamped raindrops below each. All the side pieces have leaves going one way on the right and the other way on the left. The two central pieces have leaves going in both directions. It was carefully thought out so it would be aesthetically beautiful and balanced. The turquoise is natural and it\'s great. It is a gorgeous color with a caramel spider webbed matrix, probably Pilot Mountain natural turquoise. The hand made chain and hook and eye closure are also lovely, and the piece can be hooked shorter or as long as 22\" end to end. The links between each stone were also all hand made and match the chain that extends from the last stones on each side to the closure. Everything was made at the same time by the same silversmith and it\'s all gorgeous.

The largest stone is about 15/16\" high and about 5/8\" wide and they do taper, graduating to smaller sizes as they go toward the top or back. The weight of the necklace is signifiant at 85 grams. The condition is excellent vintage, wearable and collectible. I see no cracks in the stones and no damage. It is elegant and easy to wear and it\'s my favorite design, always flattering! It\'s gorgeous. It’s a variation of the squash blossom necklace but it’s a more wearable design; it’s also a design sometimes called a “Y” shaped necklace. It’s the kind of necklace that has a major presence but is also comfortable, flattering and gorgeous.It is signed by Don Chee and is at least coin silver though not marked for silver content which is usual for that time.

Don Chee was the smith for Hill\'s Turquoise and everything I\'ve seen signed by him has been top quality. It\'s very hard to find such a top quality old necklace. I have one other in my store now but they are very hard to find. It\'s a highly collectible and wearable piece which I recommend highly for the best. collections. It works for casual as well as formal. It’s always suitable. It will always be tasteful and always timeless. It\'s beauty that never fades.
