This is a stunning rare solid 9k gold Mason Medal / Jewel for the Baldwin Lodge No 1398. The Jewel has its original ribbon with two 9k gold bars and a gold, enamel and silver coat of arms shield with a Squirrel above a Knights helmet. The pendant below has amazing solid gold grape leaf and vine decoration with a spiralled frame around a blue glass panel with applied solid gold Masonic symbols. The rear of this is engraved \' Baldwin Lodge no 1398, The Castle, Dalton in Furness. Presented to Bro R Baxendale in recognition of his services as 37th W.M. of the Lodge 13th October 1909\'. The medal is full hallmarked .375,maker G Kenning & Son London 1909. It measures 12.5cm long x 4.5cm wide and weighs a total of 46.1 grms. Complete with its original box it can only be described as excellent condition and is remarkable considering its age.
