You are offerding on a lovely extra large pottery tankard produced in 1937 by the Company Crown Ducal and designed by Charlotte Rhead to commemorate the Planned Coronation of King Edward VIII .
The piece shows the famous tube line design with the letters E I R VIII and the year 1937 in blue tube lines and green cloured checkboard pattern .
The piece is signed to the bottom Rhead and has a small F but i do not think it was the F for Frederick Rhead the father of Charlotte which was a designer himself .
The tankard is 7.5 inches high and in very good condition with slight staining to the inside and a small restored chip to the footrim !
