A perfectly exquisite American sterling silver two-pronged hair comb made by the famous high-end retailer Henri Bendel of New York City around 1900. The comb is in the form of an intricate lattice work silver fan, a minor masterpiece of pierced rococo swirls and curls, attached to two prongs fashioned from one piece of light-brown amber-coloured translucent material. This item is in excellent vintage condition with surface wear commensurate with its age. It is a most beautiful object and cries out to be put to good use as the crowning glory of a deserving head of hair! Size: 5 x 3in/12.5 x 7.5in; Weight (silver and other material): 16g.
