Very cool antique French silverplate expandable trivet. Marked Made in France with 2 hall marks. I can\'t really make the first one out...it might be a bird... the second one has the #10 and something else. The mark is on the top side of the trivet along one edge. I\'ve included a close up but it\'s kind of blurry and you might see it better in the other views by zooming over it. From what I know, the 10 (I think) is a grade of plating... the higher the number the better and I believe 10 is good...lol. It folds up really small, 5x10 inches and expands big, up to 15 inches or more. Plating has a cool geometric linear design and is for the most part in really nice shape however there are few tiny black spots. It has 7 feet on the bottom. Well made and different. As far as trivets go, definitely a cut above the average in design and construction.This came from an estate along with 5 other silverplate trivets, all different.
