Blue Glass Liner - Lovely Design - Excellent Condition

This is a stunning VINTAGE solid sterling silver mustard pot with a hinged lid anda blue glass liner and a solid sterling silver spoonthat was made in Birmingham, England in 1928 by the illustrious silversmiths, Docker & Burn at their Barr Street workshops. It isin a circular drum shape, hasplain sides, adecorated thumb piece and is finish with aloop handle. The pot measures1 7/8\" high by 1 3/4\" in diameter and is 2 3/8\" long including the handle. It is NOT engraved The mustard spoon is 2 3/8\" long. The quality of this mustard pot and spoon shows in the weight -35.1 grams (without the liner) which isalmost1 1/4troy oz.

It is in very good condition for its age with just the usual surface scratching with little distortion, NO dings and NO dents -little play to the hinge and no repairs - SUPERB - but it does need a better clean than I have had time to give it.The liner isvery well fitting and in very good condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. The pot is hallmarked to theside with D&B, anchor,lion passant (sterling silver assay mark),Dshowing that it was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1928.I have shown the hallmark so that you can make up your own mind. The mustard spoon is hallmarked for Birmingham 1933. A delightful and UNUSUAL VINTAGE addition to someone\'s table or collection in superb condition afteralmost 90 years.
