style=\"text-decoration:none\" height=\"27px\" valign=\"middle\" face=\"arial\" early-1850s 6th plate daguerreotype photo of a smiling womanholding a big cat! On the table next to her is a small stack of books
and hand-tinted flowers.Her catlooks as if he\'s either trying to look back at her, or is being
distractedby somethingoff to the side, maybe the photographer\'s
assistant.
The woman\'s jewelry, and the cat\'s eye are hand painted GOLD! Early
cat dags do not come along often; I have never seen another with a
painted eye like this one.
In its full case that is 3.75\" x 3.25\" when closed.
Condition NotesAppears to have its original, unbroken paper seals. Light fogginess is visible alongthe top of the image when held at a certain angle. No scratches, swipes, abrasions,or other damage noted on the plate. The specks to the right of her hand is stuck to
the underside ofthe glass... probably bits of the paper seals.The case is in
excellent vintage condition.
