Superb condition solid and clean English made by E. Felmore of London, Serial no.2971 silver cased verge fusee. Solid sterling silver case is Silver hall marked (s) 1793 of London assay. Outstanding white colored porcelain dial with sharp Gold hands. This dial has beautiful eye appeal with only a few very light surface scratches. Nice near spotless high domed crystal. All case covers open, close and fit nice together, perfect and tight with great hinges. This case has some real nice solid weight to it and was well made. Key wind and key set pocket watch runs full length of chain. Balance has real nice beautiful motion. The balance bridge has unique and ornate scroll work with a detailed design. The movement is super clean with bright blue screws. Pocket watch is regulated by a left side Silver disk regulator. The watch measures approx. 52mm excluding the bow. Pocket watch runs real nice and keeps great fusee time, last checked about 3 or 4 minutes fast within approx. 24 hour period hanging from a hook in the vertical position........ But cannot guarantee accuracy upon sale . These watches are verge type. Meant to keep time, not perfect time 222 years ago. Pocket watch is listed in the watch and clock makers of the world book as Felmore, E. London second half 18c.. There are two old watch papers, (1) old news paper with an 1817 date and (1) old watch and clock makers paper from Hallowell - Maine inside the case. Watch comes with a key for winding. Note all of my pocket watches have been personally serviced and restored to there best working order according to there age and condition. This is a great looking solid cased superb condition 222 year old fusee pocket watch that functions great with a beautiful dial and complementing Gold hands.
