Here for your consideration is a fabulous, antique, circa 1905, handmade, A.E. Jones, Art Nouveau, Arts& Crafts, hammered finish, Edward VII, copper trinket/jewellery/cigarette box, with cedar wood lining, Celtic cross banding, and beautiful enamel/copper cabochon/roundel, set to the lid.

Atruly stunning piece of Edwardian Arts and Craftsworkmanship, made by\'Albert Edward Jones\', in 1905. Considering this trinket/jewellery cigarette boxis 110 yearsold it\'s in very good originalcondition, with no splits or damage.The box does have general age relatedwear and staining as shown in my photos, commensurate withits 110 years of age, butnothing unusual. When you actually consider what this exquisite box hasprobably been through, certainly two world wars, we think it just adds to itscharacter. What is nice is the fact that its totally unspoilt, which over the years has created a beautiful age relatedpatina !!

Albert Edward Jones(1878-1954) was anEnglishsilversmith and designer.Albert EdwardJones trained attheBirmingham Municipal School of Art under their first headmaster,Edward Richard Taylor (Ruskin Pottery founder)and was for a period, aGuildsman of theBirmingham Guild of Handicraft.He founded A.E.Jones & Co. in 1902.Although best known for his work insilver,the firm also produced notable work inbronze, brass and copper.
