During our research we have been informed itcertainly dates from the 19th century.
Dates about c1880s.
Of a black forest origin.
A wooden intricate relief carving of the horned mountain goat, known as a chamois.
On its back: the intricate winged eagle.
A large carving, carved in relief.
Standing horned chamois with its intricate facial detailing.
On its back: the winged eagle.
Intricate carved detailing with its feathered body.
Again intricate detailing to the the face.
Talons.
Mounted onto the decorative carved base.

Condition: Considering the age, the overall conditionis very good and is not subject to any major blemishes except:
the eagle has lost part of it\'s wing to one end.
