We are very pleased to offerthis fabulous late 19TH century period cane. It has alarge 4 7/8\"cow(bovine) bone handle thathas been masterfully carved in the form of a lions head. The handle is beautifully accented with agold filled end piece and sterling collar (marked STERLING). The end piece is done in a highly detailed floral motif and the sterling collar has beautifully engravedinitials. The ebonized bamboo shaft measures 3/4\" whereit meets the handle. It is extra sturdy, very straight,and even retains its original horn tip. This cane would be an excellent choice for weight support. Overall length is 35\". There are two miniscule losses to the lions teeth as shown. A brilliant piece for the serious collector.
