This clock is a truly beautiful antique 19thc French gilt metal and green hand painted sevres porcelain panel mantle clock with an outstanding case which looks absolutely stunning wherever it is displayed with its original gilt ormolu finish to the spelter metal case with only minimal age wearThe case features a porcelain urn top design with twin dove figures above the dial with stuning embossed and pierced decorations to whole of case with droplets to sides and green porcelain pillars. The case also features superb hand painted porcelain panels with decorated scenes which give it an awesome display lookThe case is in great original condition with no damage whatsoever with an original gold gilt ormolu finish to the spelter case with only minimal age wear exactly how you want to see it and is a finish to die forThe clock features a high quality hand painted porcelain matching green open dial with roman numerals and original hands. The dial is in excellent condition for age with no damage The movement is also of high quality being an 8 day bell striking movement which strikes the bell on the half and full hours counting the hours on the hour. The movement is in full working order keeping time and striking when it should with its french pendulum and movement is signed with the AD Mougin Paris stamp.
