Superb Antique Art Nouveau Raised Goldwork Ecclesiastical Embroidery~Long Length Product DescriptionThis is a fabulous length of antique French Art Nouveau ecclesiastical embroidery.

There are five stunning raised goldwork embroidery motifs, these are thickly padded and covered with gold wire thread of different textures. The rest of the embroidery on the silk satin ground is in fine silk chain stitch, with the motifs highlighted in couched metallic wire thread.

It is edged with a metallic gold trim.

This piece was probably originally part of an orphrey decorating a priest\'s vestments.

It is all in very good used condition. It measures 6 inches (15 cm) wide and is 50 inches (1.25m) long.
