Superb Rare Antique Austrian/Bohemian Art Nouveau Gerbing & Stephan (2) Majolica Ewers They are in good overall condition one ewer has a minor hairline crack to the handle while the second ewer has two small glaze flakes to the handle, They measure just over 12 inches high by 4.5 inches wide by 4/5 inches deep. The ewers have the impressed Gerbing and Stephan mark along with mold number 4425. Decorated with birds in a tree and a repeating geometric pattern, They are elegant and stately.. Make them yours....
Gerbing & Stephan were prolific makers of majolica and earthen wares in 19th century Austria.
