Offering a stunning antique lamp. French/Russian(?) hand painted Urn converted to lamp. On the front is the most exquisite portrayal of Hermes/Mercury with his winged cap, done in a very soft palette. The young classical god has a truly ethereal quality. Amazing fine detail. Dark teal lamp further embellished with Greek Key design, botanicals and stylized swags. Handsome gold detail.

Rococo ormolu base with reticulated scrollwork mounted on round brass base.

In very good antique condition. Lamp works. No chips. No cracks. Minor wear commensurate with age and gentle use. Minimal paint loss.

Approx. measurements-- 29\" to top of finial. 21\" to top of bulb socket. Base diameter-- 5 1/2\".
