Description - Superb antique good gauge heavy 94 gramssolid silver calling card case with hinged lid, the case has scroll borders and is beautifully hand engraved with ivy leaf, scroll and a floral pattern, there is also a cartouche with the initials \"M C\", the interior is silver-gilt ( Gold washed).
The case is fully hallmarked with the anchor forBirminghamassay, lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, the date letter \"a\" for the year 1900, and the makers mark \"G.L\" which is G Loveridge & Co (George Loveridge), the lid is also hallmarked.
Condition - The case is in good condition, there are no dents, splits, holes or repairs, there are just a few bumps on the corners, the engraving is in excellentconditionwith no wear or rubbing and the hinge is in good order.
Dimensions & Weight - 10.5cm long x 7.4cm, the weight is 94 grams.
