- Condition Notes: Condition: All stones are intact & look fine. Lid fits properly. Large cloisonné beads under dragon?s chin are easily removable. No enamel loss noted. Gilt shows some minor fading & some toning due to age. Wood base shows only some light surface wear. Type of Piece: Antique censer Number of Items: One lidded censer w/ stand (3) Measurement of Item: 8-1/2 inches tall (w/ base) & 6-1/2 inches X 3-1/4 inches wide Stamping or Factory Marks: Silver Weight of Item: 9.90 troy oz (w/o base) & 0.87 lbs (all together) Manufacture Method: Fabricated, hand set, hand finished Now we have to offer this stunningly ornate Chinese gold / gilt over silver filigree censer w/ base. It is completely decorated with fine wire, cannetille filigree work, with a large Chinese dragon on each side, all enhanced with colorful hard-fired enameling. Two hand carved jade medallions are on the sides, along with additional & turquoise enhancements including a large coral bead at the top. Whew!
