Superb George IV solid silver cast wine label by renowned silversmith Robert Garrard who would go on to be appointed goldsmith for the King and later Queen Victoria.
Assayed in London and dated 1829.
Of shaped rectangularform with a beautifullydetailed cast fox surrounded by vines & leaves. Pierced\"Silery\". Silery is a village in north wast France noted for its fine champagne
Condition: Superb, free from damage. Minor surfacewear/tarnishing, typical of age. Really nice gauge of silver. Superbpiecefrom a top quality maker.
Hallmarks: Struck with makers mark RG (crowned) & London assay marks.
