Superb Georgian sterling silver bowl, fully hallmarked for London 1810.
This is a very fine quality silver bowl made in the reign of King George III by the important makers, Peter & William Bateman, in London 1810.
The bowl is round in shape with bands of reeding running around the top edge and middle of the bowl.
The bowl stands on a spreading round pedestal base with reeded rings.
The front of the bowl has a monogram.
The bowl is 5-1/4 inches / 134 mm in diametre and it stands 3-1/8 inches / 79 mm high.
Made of thick gauge silver, the bowl weighs an impressive 290 grams.
The bowl has clear hallmarks -lion passant, London mark, duty mark, letter P for 1810 and maker\'s mark PB over WB for Peter and William Bateman.
The bowl is in excellentcondition with no dents, damage or repair.
