Excellent blackglass (dark olive green) HALF SIZE freeblown TOTALLY EMPTY antique wine bottle CONTAINING NO WINE OR ALCHOHOL!!!!! with round low body glass seal with good lip edge reading \"MIDDLE/TEMPLE\" with Lamb and Flag pictorial crest between. Deep conical kickup with light sand pontil, sagged base whittled sides to round shoulder, showing light mold lines to shoulder into lightly bulged striated neck finishing with tooled rounded lip and downtooled stringrim. Middle Temple is one of the Inns of Court, or essentially colleges for lawyers, first started by Henry VIII. Google Middle or Inner Temple for further details.
