Superb Irish silver cream jug by Edward Crofton.
Assayed in Dublin and sated 1823(Georgian)
Beautifullycrafted in a circular bluster form, chased with a folite scroll decoration on a matted backgroundcenteredwith vacant panels either side.. Sits on 4 bracketed feet with a scrolled handle. The interior islightlygilt washed.
Condition. Superb antiquecondition, has a fewveryslight indents to one of the vacant panels(photo 12) ,these do not detract from the look of the bowl, other than this the condition is excellent, a qualitypieceof very heavygauge
Hallmarks: Hallmarked to the base. Makers mark (EC) Hibernia , Crowned Harp, Duty mark and date letter (C).
