Antique1930\'sART DECO fish figurine by Just Andersen, Denmark. Very cool abstractopen mouth fish design, with a greenish bronze-like finish.

MarkedJUST in triangle, 1389

Verysolid and heavy for its size. Size: 5\" large x 3.75\" wide x 4\" high.

OverallVery goord condition, with age related wear (scratches, see pictures)

JustAndersen (1884 - 1943) sculptor and silver smith.

\"Heis best known for his neoclassic Scandinavian design of articles foreveryday use in pewter, brass, copper, bronze and Disko.

DiskoMetal is an alloy of lead and antimony, which was Andersen\'s owninvention and named after the Disko Bay of Greenland, where he grewup. It was used to produce \"Bronze\" items, such ascandlesticks, vases, sculptures for common people and also for modelsin the foundry, because it was cheaper than real bronze. After beingcast the pieces were patinated as bronze, copper or brass. JustAndersen had his own show rooms in Berlin, London, New York and LosAngeles.\"
