Here is a truely outstanding Antique Chinese Canton enamel box.
It is large and substantial in feel and appearance.
It measures 6\" long 4.5\" wide and 2.5\" tall.
The enameling is intricate,beautiful and colorful.
The top picture is of two Imperial ladies in a palace,wearing yellow Imperial robes, receiving a messenger,with a servant looking over.
The whole box is completely hand painted with great detail and charming scenes,
The interior is glazed and decorated with pomegranates.
There is a chip near the rim (seen in pictures)and also a tiny flake.Apart from these the box is in amazing condition for it\'s age.
There is a Qianlong stamp to the bottom and I feel the box is definitely of the period.
