This clock is a very nice french highly embossed Bronze ormolu large 8 day striking cartel wall clock, it has its superb look to it all in great condition for age, the case has its original finish to it which still has a superb look and patina to it as you can see from the picturesCase is constructed from a good quality solid bronze and has some superb embossed work which is very detailed and of high quality with its original finish and large proportionsThe case has a superb classic cartel design which looks absolutely superb with the various ornate embossed motifs decorating the high quality thick case.The embossed decoration is all in stunning condition with no damage, the original finish displays beautifully and is exactly how you want to see itIt has a embossed bronze and porcelain cartouche dial with roman numerals, the dial is in superb original condition with original hands protected by its bevelled glass and hinged bezel door. The centre of the dial also benefits from a porcelain cartouch plaque with stockholm retailersThe clock has an 8 day french bell striking movement with an anchor escapement, the movement is in full working order keeping good time and striking the bell exactly how it should and comes with its french pendulum and a new winding key. The movement is signed H & F ParisThe clock measures a very impressive 25 inches high x 16 inches wide x 4.25 inches deepThis is a great investment and a beautiful display piece which i am sure you would agree.
