We are offering for sale a fabulous silver 4-piece teaset contained within its originalpresentation case and decorated with superb cut-card decoration which is a sign of very high quality.

This Arts & Craftsservice comprises a teapot, coffee or hot water jug, sugar bowl and cream or milk jug. The set has an all over spot hammered (planished) finish andthe very best quality applied cut-card decoration in the form of acanthus leaves around the base.

Thetwo pots have black handles and matching black finials to protect users from the heat.All pieces have been made froma good thickness of silver and consequently have a good hefty weight and feeling of high quality throughout.

Charles Edward who made this set specialised in spot hammer finished arts & crafts style silver ware and this set is a fine example of his output.

MEASUREMENTS: Teapot: 25.5cm (10\") long; 13.2cm (5.25\") diameter; 13.2cm (5.25\") high. Coffee pot/ Hot Water Jug: 16cm (6.25\") high.

Combined weight of teaset: 1920 grams (61.75 tr.oz.)

MARKS: Full set of English hallmarks (guaranteeing Sterling 925 standard silver) for London 1913, made by Charles Edwards. Retailed by Terry & Co. of Manchester (stamped under the base).

CONDITION: The silver is in excellent polished condition throughout and has been preserved by the case in which it sits. The interiors are clean.Theblack crocodile paper has torn away to the front left and the underlying wood has been painted black - please note that the presence of the box is a bonus in itself as they are quite a rarity for tea sets.
