An incredibly rare quadrangle head Fijian throwing club ula (I ula vutu). With 8 tally marks to the shaft probably representing kills ( see photos). Purchased privately from an important u.k collection some 9-10 years ago. Superb patina, a very rare item, you could wait years for another. The shape of this represents the nut of the vutu tree, 19th century in age, superb geometric incised handle. Size 37cm in length.

The previous owner paid circa £1000 for this many years ago, I got a good deal 9 years ago as he needed the money.
