Superb and rare Louis XVI style three doors Armoire and bed head board in solid wood covered with different veneersby master furniture maker Francois Linke (1855 - 1946),dates to the latter part of the 19th century. The armoire bears the inside the locks the marks: \"Ct LINKE Serrurerie PARIS\" , characteristic of the original Linke furniture.one of the drawers lock is missing.The cabinet was later transform in a wardrobe.The main space has 2 shelves, 2 original small drawers and 6 big drawers,the lateral door spaces have 5 small shelves on each side.Amazing bronze foundry, exceptional details. All the bronze pieces are complete, none missing.A new mirror was set in the front door.Both, the armoire and head board are heavily mounted with amazing gilt bronze ormolu and in superior condition for its ageit is being offered in its current condition

Linke was born on 17 June 1855 in the small village ofPankraz, in what is now the Czech Republic. Records show that Linke served an

apprenticeship with the master cabinet maker,Neumann, which he completed in 1877.Linke’s work book orArbeits-Buchrecords that he

was in Vienna from July 1872 to October 1873at the time of theInternational Exhibitionheld there in 1873.

He subsequently travelled to Prague, Budapest & Weimar before finally arriving in Paris in 1875
