Superb antique Swedish (Russian?) solid silver/gilt and enamel snuff or pill box:

An outstanding silver/gilt and enamel snuff box of possibly pill box measuring circa 4 and a half cm in diameter and 1 and a quarter cm deep.The work has been beautifully guilloche enamelled at the sides with wavy bands and on the lid with an intricate floral arrangement,these elements subtly appearing through the translucent green enamel.Sadly the edge of the box has suffered the loss of two sections of enamel-hence the modest opening offer for what would otherwise be a very expensive item(see 3rd photo),The base bears Swedish import marks and the maker\'s mark K.A is one which I have found in my researches revealed as that of a late 19th century Russian silversmith.I do however stand to be corrected on this point.The external gilding is fading a little but that in the interior is still very strong....shipping world wide.Shipping to other parts of Europe including Russia will cost £3.70p
