$259.77
A very early and fine English brass strainer, the circular strainer with rows of holes interspersed with turning lines; the beautifulhandle with a rectangular aperture for hanging; circa 1700.
This is a beautiful, genuinely early, strainer that would have been used for getting impurities out of milk or setting cream in akitchen or dairy. The strainer section has a series of very attractive turning lines. There may be a maker\'s mark or otherimpressed mark at the bottom of the rectangular piercing at the end of the handle (see photo number 6) but it is impossible tomake it out.
The overall length is 17 3/8 inches and the strainer is 5 7/8 inches in diameter. A classy decorative item!! Don\'t miss it in the final seconds!
