This is a superb large antique Victorian circa 1890 sterling silver locket pendant. This is a quality piece with a superb weighty feel and high quality internal construction. The weight is 44 grams.The locket has no hallmarks which is not unusual for pieces from this period ( probably worn with age ) but has been fully tested by a local jeweller and is sterling silver.The locket length is 7.5 cm ( Three inches ) including the bale and the hinge and clasp are in beautiful working condition and original. The locket has a silver jump ring attached but this can be easily removed if required.
