Superb very unusual 1800s Northern European silver hunter figural serving spoon:
$34.99

We are listing this superb and very interesting looking Northern European silver (probably sterling) figural terminal serving spoon which was probably made during the 1800s, based on the style of the spoon and the dress of the hunter on the handle. The decoratively cast handle is topped with a hunter holding a dead rabbit (and the hunter\'s dog is sitting at his feet). The spoon has three hallmarks on the back of its bowl - the letter Q, the letters S/T, and a mark which looks like the double eagle mark used by several Northern European countries (see INTERNATIONAL HALLMARKS ON SILVER), but I could not identify a specific match. The spoon is almost 7.75 inches long, with a bowl almost 2 inches across, weighs a very substantial 2.2 ounces, it is very interestingly shaped, and it is in very good condition. Please view the closeup pictures and judge for yourself (the spoon has not been professionally polished). A very interesting old European spoon with a most unusual handle.

We can currently only accept offers on this from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Shipping to the United Kingdom and Canada will be charged at cost. Payment must be made by Paypal within three days of the sale ending.
