This is a superb quality vintage Scottish rare sagenitic agate sterling silver brooch.
The stone is a fabulous high pink sagenitic agate from Balmulo in Fife.This is a very high quality example of these rare agate types and makes a very strinking brooch!The brooch has no hallmarks but has been fully tested by a local jeweller and is sterling silver. The brooch length is 4.0 cm ( One and three fifth inches ) and the pin and locking clasp are original and in good working condition.
