SIZE: Length 21cm by Width 9.5cmDESCRIPTION:

This mask was collected over 50 years ago. Its an ancestral mask from the Sepik River Region of PNG. Its a small mask, whose size concentrates all the detail. I love the deeply incised line work around the mouth and detail to the eyes and nose area. Sculpturally it is a very beautiful example that is in excellent condition. The paint work is all natural earth pigments.
