This is a very rare find. Most all of these carving were \"one-of-a-kind\". He would only duplicate if someone wanted one custom made. The dala horse for sale was carved by \"Robert Wallin Petersen\". My friend and I were able to get him to custom carve some dalas for us. This was back in the 90\'s. He was such a sweet man and oh, so talented and, sadly, passed away a few years ago so there will be no more. This dala stands about 5\" tall. It is painted with a pansie design with a teeny tiny bird on the back. It looks a lot like a bullfinch but can\'t be sure. He has a tiny nick on his ear and part of the name has worn off the tag but I see no breaks or repairs. He was all hand carved and hand painted, not dipped.
