NOTE that this cel has been damaged by what looks like heat or sunlight. The cel is badly warped and has little market value. The price you are paying is for the frame and Chuck Jones\' handwritten and signed notation, with the cel basically being thrown in for free. Similar but undamaged cels usually go for well over $500.

The Dot and the Line was an Oscar Winning animated short directed by Chuck Jones. The film tells the story of a romance between two geometric shapes. At the beginning the Line is “stiff as a stick… dull, conventional and repressed”.The flighty Dot sees the Squiggle as free-spirited and groovy. But with great effort the Line manages to bend into a series of complex shapes. The Dot then claims the Line to be “dazzling, clever, enigmatic and complex” while the Squiggle is “undisciplined, graceless and course. At the end of the film, our Dot and Line go off to live “if not happily ever after, at least reasonably so”. The moral of the story? “ To the vector belong the spoils”.

Chuck Jones signed the cel and it has the seal of authenticity by Linda Jones. On the back of the piece Chuck Jones wrote some personal light hearted words to a friend and signed and dated it. The framed art measures approximately 18.5 inches by 21.75 inches.
