Comes with 5 additional bonus tracks not on the LP version. Legendary New Orleans jazz funkateers. MEMBERS: Willie Tee, Larry Penia, Irvin Charles, and June Ray. TRACKS: Booger Man, Cold Bear, Gatur Bait, Nobody Can Be You, Hunk Of Funk, Funky Funky Twist, Wasted, Yeah You’re Right, Concentrate, and Get Up. BONUS TRACKS: First Taste Of Hurt, One Thrill Fool, Man That I Am, I’m Gonna Make You Love Me, and Sweet Thing. DESCRIPTION: The Gaturs were not as well known as the Meters and not as minimalist in their take on funk, but like that group they created a distinct sound based on the party atmosphere for which New Orleans is famous. Led by veteran session musician Willie Tee, the Gaturs’ jazz-inflected funk and soul only made it to a handful of singles, but did pave the way for Tee’s next project — as bandleader for the festive chants of Mardi Gras Indians known as the Wild Magnolias. TERMS AND ABBREVIATIONS:

Unless noted, all CDs come in standard jewel cases.

SS or SLD: Still Sealed or Sealed. Short abbreviation that will appear in the title line of my listings. This item is new and unplayed. Also appears in the listing descriptionas Sealed CD or Factory Sealed CD.

NEW CD: This item is new and unplayed, but was received from a supplier without being shrink wrapped or cellophane wrapped; more common on imports but also many of the smaller independent US labels do not seal their CDs; some have it both ways (for which I have no prior knowledge of or choice when placing my orders). Other companies use resealable clear outer sleeveswhich areused on some import and domestic releases. If I receive an item this way it will be shipped as I received it and not opened up.

All CDs that do not come in an outer packaging wrapare inspected by me prior to shipping. It is not unusual to find small imperfections in the disc, especially on European manufactured CDs; these small imperfections do no effect the play of the disc. If, for any reason, a disc does not play it is fully guaranteed by me and is returnable for refund or replacement(see my return policy below for more details). Also an unsealed jewel case may show light signs of warehouse/transit storage wear. If a jewel case is received by me broken, it will be replaced with a new jewel case before shipping.

GFC or GF: Gate fold cover, refers to a style of mini-jacket CDs.

S/T: Self-Titled

2/1: This denotes that2 albums are on1 single CD.

OOP: Out Of Print.

MIX: This sometimes appears in my title line andrefers to a group\'s/artist\'s music having a mix of styles such a rock track with jazzthen followed by a straight rock track followed by a psych rock track, etc., as opposed to a blues album with the album\'stracks havingpredominantly one style.

HANDLING TIME:

Packages are usually shippedin less than 72 hours. NOTE: This is not the same thing as delivery time, which begins once a package is turned over to the post office; averaging 3-7 business days for US delivery and 5 days to 3 weeks for international delivery (Italy seems to take even longer often times). International delivery islargely determined on how long it takes your local customs to process its mail. I will confirm receipt of payment and shipping date via my personal e-mail, adjust your filters accordingly. If you do not hear from me within the first three days after your payment, most likely my attempts to e-mail you have failed. Please keep me posted on your payment plans or any special requirements/needs of your purchase.

RETURN POLICY:

Please e-mail me with specific details and I will get back to you with your options. I ask that if there is a problem with the item that you contact me as soon as possible after receiving it. Any item that must be returned is done so at the buyer’s expense. Any refund, exchange, or substitution/credit will be at the buyers choice, but not made until the original item is received back by me; in the condition as stated in the item description.

NON-ARRIVAL OF PACKAGES:

US Customers: Please wait at least two weeks from my confirmed shipping date before contacting me about the non-arrival of your package. Packages are not shipped with confirmation; this service is optional and available upon request at your expense, e-mail me before making payment so I can invoice you accordingly. It has been several years since I’ve had a package not make its US destination, so risk is minimal.

INTERNATIONAL Customers: Please wait at least 3 weeks from my confirmed shipping date before contacting me about the non-arrival of your package. If security is your concern please have your package registered (see above for fee). I do my best to quickly post packages, but once the package is in the hands of the world’s postal systems it is beyond my control. With First-Class Package International Service my only option for investigating the loss of your package is to verify that it left this country to its destination country. Most all delayed/lost packages have disappeared/been delayed after they have reached their destination country. NOTE: Based on recent buyer response, International packages have been moving much slower these days; it is not unusual for a package to take over three weeks for delivery, though normally packages should arrive in 7 to 15 business days.
