OTHER DETAILS - an original, first issue 1987 West German pressed double CD album (2 x CD) on the Polydor label, in original \'Fat\' box and complete with two inserts. As shown in pictures above (pictures are of actual item).
\"The Phantom of the Opera\" features music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Charles Hart with additional words from Richard Stilgoe. It is the longest running musical in Broadway history. The musical opened in London\'s West End in 1986 and on Broadway in 1988. It won the 1986 Olivier Award and the 1988 Tony Award for Best Musical. Michael Crawford won the Olivier and Tony Awards for Best Actor in a Musical.
This Original Cast Recording stars Michael Crawford, Sarah Brightman and Steve Barton - it is the original AAD release of this double CD set, with the discs pressed in West Germany by PDO and housed in a \'fat\' box with two inserts.

CONDITION
INLAYS - EX condition
- all inlays and inserts are in a nice, clean EX condition.
- both discs are generally EX, with just a couple of small, light surface marks on each CD only.
Please note that all CDs are visually graded under a bright halogen bulb. However, all will play through fine, even if - very rarely - they are described above as having \'plenty of marks\' or similar. Plastic outer cases are NOT graded, sleeves will only be graded if they are card wallets covers, digipaks or special sleeves of some kind. Regular jewel cases are easily replacable if need be, but all will be perfectly serviceable with no cracks or broken hinges unless otherwise stated.

NEAR MINT: The record/CD itself is in \'as new\' condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are also in \'as new\' condition. (please note that I will NEVER use the MINT grade, as I think you are asking for trouble! The highest grade I will use will be NM (Near Mint) as even a new record/CD can have a tiny fault if you look hard enough! If an item is NEW I will say so.)
EXCELLENT (EX): The record/CD shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record/CD has obviously been played a number of times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the maybe some occasional light scratches. If there is any surface noise it will be occasional, light and unobtrusive.Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record/CD has obviously been played a lot and while it still plays through OK, it will have a lot of surface marks and/or light scratches (maybe also the occasional \'feelable\' scratch) and most likely there there will be regular and noticeable surface noise. The cover and contents may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine and/or seam splits, discoloration, etc.
