THERMOPLASTIC FIREMAN CASE - READY FOR TINTYPE, AMBROTYPE OR DAGUERREOTYPE MINTY- Here is an amazing copy of the the \"Fireman Saving the Child #1.\" The case is empty and ready for your favorite tintype, ambrotype or daguerreotype already in your collection that is missing a case. One of the most ornate thermoplastic housings ever designed. The excellent condition case is priced below Berg\'s Guide to 19th Century cases book price, so act quickly and good luck!CONDITION:Please view my detailed photos for the actual condition of this cased image and as part of my description. Although this resealed sixth plate contains a bit lower contrast and tonal range, the image was sharply captured. The case is in excellent condition and the only flaws I can find to not call this a Mint case are two hairlines one at the clasp & the other seen on the interior in the upper left corner of the photo compartment. There are a few flea bites along the edges, some minor wrinkles to the label and a few minor spots on the velvet pillow. However, I am being very picky. The hinges remain tight, the case opens and closes nicely and the interior includes a beautifully embossed maroon velvet pillow. The black case still retains the majority of its original sheen.
