For sale is a vintage music box. This is a large, wall mounted music box made by the Swiss company Thorens. The box measures 9 3/4\" x 8\" x 2 1/4\". The box contains a Thorens Swiss music box movement which plays the song \"Hatikvah\". The box itself has a framed image of the Arthur Syzk work \"Israel, New Canaan 1948\" inside. The box is in pretty good shape. There\'s one small knock/nick on front right side edge where it has bumped into something but it is in good condition otherwise. I believe it dates to at least the 1980s. These boxes were made to commemorate the establishment of the state of Israel. One site said these were made in 1948 but from the construction of the box this is DEFINITELY much newer than 1948. This is a really neat piece of Judaica that would be a great addition to ANY collection!
