As the only artist in the world granted the rights to draw the\"Peanuts\" characters in his own work, Everhart creates vibrant,extremely collectible rainbow masterpieces featuring Snoopy, Woodstock and thegang. \"SUPER SNEAKY” is a limited edition hand pulled original lithographon museum quality paper, numbered 251 out of 500 and hand signed by Everhart!Includes Certificate of Authenticity! Measures approx. 35\" x25.75\". This artwork was createdon one of two rare antique Marinoni Voirin lithograph presses that date back tothe 1800\'s, and are reputed to come from the Paris print shop used by HenriToulouse-Lautrec. There are only 7 of these magnificent beasts left in theworld: the smaller one (with a print bed size of 25\" x 35\"), weighs 9tons, and the larger one weighs in at 11 tons (print bed size 31\" x47\"). The significance of this is that the lithographs produced by thismethod are of the finest quality, using techniques that are so labor and timeintensive that very few master printers know how to operate and care for thesepresses today. Each lithograph is created with hand-mixed colors applied one ata time - a highly trained and synchronized team must hand feed eachmuseum-quality sheet of paper through the press numerous times in order to setthe colors and impressions, while the Chromist - a trained color specialist -adjusts each color by look and feel to match the original artwork, as if mixinga potion. The result is an image with maximum pigment saturation, formedthrough rich layers of color that imbue the artwork with a permanency ofbrilliance - proven over centuries to last. In contrast, today\'s printers use amethod more akin to a dot matrix style application, with the colors allpremixed and sprayed onto a sheet in a uniform layer, resulting in a much lesssaturated image that is susceptible to fading and imperfect color reproduction.This is one of the final Tom Everhart editions to be printed using this veryspecial technique.
