THANK YOU for considering our crisp, clean, highest Hamilton grade but currently non-running condition Hamilton Grade 950E, 16 size, open face, 23 jewels, Model Three, Grade 950E, adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, double roller, Elinvar bi-metallic hairspring, jeweled Patent Motor barrel, micrometer regulator, sapphire pallet jewels, Breguet hairspring, raised and cupped gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, center bridge nickel plate, stem wind, lever set, railroad-grade movement. This fine 950E is in excellent working order, except that it does not take a wind. The mainspring slips after around the 4th wind, so it needs servicing. The movement otherwise runs great however, with a dead flat and true balance wheel motion that has a fine, wide arc and strong, steady beat. The movement also lever sets as designed. As for appearance this high-value 950E movement is looking terrific, with nice, bright and clean winding wheels with the big gold jeweled barrel wheel, shiny bright and clean bridge nickel plates with all of the fine original black engraving paint still intact – even in the serial number - pristine and correct Reed micrometer regulator needle and whip, very clean looking inside, around the sides and in front, and ready and waiting for some mainspring TLC!! The movement does show very slight and ordinary wear only with no abuse. It will be a great acquisition for the lucky top buyer!
