For sale - one pair of rulers, each dating back to approximately 1900 to 1910. These rulers were used for over 75 years in my Family\'s Hardware store for measuring and cutting glass. They were manufactured by Kerby and Brother, 51 Fulton Street, New York City.
Kerby produced Craftsman quality measuring devices from 1860 until theearly teens of the 1900s. My late Father told me that these were included in thepurchase of the family Hardware store in 1922, so they are at least 95 years old,but we believed they are older because the store was originally opened in1902. The ruler is well-used but all markings down to the 1/8th inchare preserved crisp and clear as can be seen from the photographs. I’veincluded a photo of the manufacturer’s logo which appears on only one of the two rulers, but they are a matched identical pair.
