These two adorable and very hard to find, French antique, jointedcelluloid sister dolls are such a treasure and certain to add charm to any early doll collection. Neither doll has a visible manufacturer\'s mark which is probably under their original wigs as described on page 93, \"Celluloid Dolls, Toys & Playthings\"-Robinson. The larger sister measures, 10 inches tall, with joints at her shoulders and hips and wears all her charming and original clothing including a four-piece, pink printed, cotton sunsuit and knit socks and black leatherette shoes with ties.She has beautifully molded and painted features with blue eyes and excellent modeling of her eyelids, blond eyebrows, an open/closed mouth, lovely complexionand gorgeous, thick curly blond hair. She has finely molded, toddler style legs with slightly bent knees with pink blush and bent arms with individual fingers. Her baby sister measures 8 1/2 inches long and hasexactly identical features including long, thick blond curly hair. She wears her original knit socks, pinned-on undies and cotton eyelet baby bonnet. Her original stringingneeds tightening. Both dolls are in excellent condition, circa 1930,with no cracks or chips, no damages or repairs andno fading or odors as they are from a smoke free home. Larger French bisque doll and accessories shown in last photo are not included. We will be listing a few more beautiful celluloid dolls.
